Young adult male: Donated by Charles August Ficke, former mayor of Davenport and world traveller in 1896 to The Davenport Academy of Science, which which later merged with the Putnam Museum (Est. 1867). CT Results: Breaks to spinal column Multiple broken ribs Post-mortem abdominal incision for organ removal. This mummy was never subjected to unwrapping. 2. Isis Neferit Female: CT results suggest age based on teeth wear. Post-mortem abdominal incision for organ removal. Heart left in place. Donated to the Putnam in 1965 as a bequest of B.J. Palmer (d.1961). This mummy was unwrapped at some point in the past. The Putnam Collection also contains a mummified head and two bird mummies. |
